The Brother of Excellence Award program recognizes and honors the outstanding achievements, enhances the perception and raises community awareness of the positive contributions of minority men.
Each year, at minimum, 1 minority man will be selected the Brother of Excellence winner and recognized at an event. Each winner could be subject to a cash award. However, he will receive local and national recognition and a trophy prize. The winner(s) will be announced during our annual Brother of Excellence Award Ceremony every February. Winner(s) will be recognized at an event, with the ability to present a speech and be featured in publicity/marketing materials. They will also have an opportunity to participate in organization programs and special appearances to promote and enhance the organization.
To be considered for the award, you must meet the following criteria:
Be a minority male, 18 years of age or older.
Be a U.S. citizen or provide evidence of lawful presence in the United States.
No pending legal charges.
An example role model for other minority men.
Complete and/or be nominated by submission a Brother of Excellence application online and send required supporting documentation to the Annual Awards Review Committee within the provided deadline, including the application fee of $10. (Application fee goes towards supporting the Annual Brother of Excellence Award Program and the Better Foundations & Futures, Inc. organization.)
Finalist must be available for in-person or virtual interviews, if necessary.
Applications will be accepted through the online application no later than 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021.
